Montana 1948 (first half)

Wow, this book was so much better than i thought. You can actually relate it to many things that can happen now. Like how Frank is molesting the Indian girls, and how thats still going on today. And before David said something about seeing uncle Frank, once I found out Marie Little Soldier was dead, I thought it was him. I mean come on, she started all this trouble, he obviously wants to make it go away. Another thing that I noticed, even though as of now he plays a very small role, but Ollie young bear, the guy that David's father talked to about the Indians, i related him to that character from country lovers that wanted to be part of the white world, and would try to do anything to get into it. This is kinda like Ollie. He wants to fit in with the white society, and transforms himself. I don't like the mom. no offense or anything, but she's a real germ-a-phobe. (i can't spell by the way). She won't even let David go near someone if they have the slightest chance of getting sick. I also think that David got the sexual traits from his uncle, because through the first half, he describes Marie getting out of the shower, and he talks about things like that, and from what we know, I think that Frank is a little weird too. I don't know if i missed something, but why does Gail not like Weasley's parents? like i understand that there not as proper and perfect as her, but shes the one that married into the family. If she didn't like the parents, why did she marry him? Another question..Len? he's such a creeep! I think by the end of the book he's going to become an alcoholic again, maybe he had something going on with Marie, and now because of her death he's going to start drinking. OR like David said, maybe he had something going on with Gail, and because she's so depressed over Marie's death, hes depressed, and is going to start drinking again. Im really excited to finish reading the rest of the book, and can't wait to post more!
Hopefully Frank gets caught, because he's really frustrating me. He has a wife, why can't he leave those poor girls alone? I understand that his wife can't have kids, but that is no reason to go aroundd messing with those other girls. They have a hard enough life as it is being social outcasts, and not being respected, they dont' need that emotional trauma on top of it. But we shall see. =D
